Viejas Arena Parking

General Parking

There are various options for onsite parking at the Viejas Arena, though this will change from event to event.

Parking during men’s basketball games

During these sports events, those with a season parking pass permit can park in parking lots 6 and 7.

Those who don’t have the season pass can park in the following lots:

» Parking 6B

» Parking 8

» Calpulli Garage

» Parking 3

» Parking 12

There is disabled parking available in parking 6, 7, 8, 12, and Calpulli Garage.

Parking during women’s basketball games

When these sports events are playing at the arena, guests can use parking lot 7. This costs $3 an hour and is payable either through the PaybyPhone app or at the grey pay station, found on level 2.

The season parking pass – available for $61 – also allows for parking in this area, much like during the men’s basketball games.

Parking lot 12 is also available during women’s basketball games, as are the disabled parking areas in parking 6, 7, 8, 12, and Calpulli Garage.

Parking Structure 5 is located Northwest of Viejas Arena on the corner of 55th street and Montezuma Road.

Public Transportation

The Viejas Arena is in a pretty convenient location, situated on the San Diego State University Campus. Because of this, it is easy to get to via public transportation.

The easiest way to get to Viejas Arena is on the San Diego Trolley, as it runs frequently and stops at the SDSU Transit Center. This is an underground station on the SDSU campus and is only about a ten-minute walk away from the arena.

The trolley that will get you to the arena is the Green Line, as it stops at the transit center. You can opt for a single trolley ride ticket or a day pass for unlimited rides throughout the day. Tickets can be bought either through the phone app or at vending machines on the station.

Make sure to check out the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System website for more information, including the latest fees and schedules.
